Oil refill gone wrong

I don't understand what happened. I have been doing my change of oil every time, but this 5000th time or whatever has officially gone wrong. I heard weird sounds in the engine before getting a "Stop Engine" notice and I'm extremely pissed. My bike shut down.

Did this happen to your Maverick X3 already? Did I do something wrong if I basically did the same steps? What could be the reason or where could I have f'ed up if the oil suddenly became higher?

Are you sure you put the required amount of oil and fully drained the old one?

Please do not try to start it again! It sounds like something serious might be going on. it could be that there were fuel that got into the oil or the coolant mixing with the oil. did you get it checked already?

weird sounds from the engine after an oil change means you either put too much or too litle oil. Drain the oil and see how it looks, but don't get your hopes high about saving this engine, you may need to rebuild or replace it, unfortunately.

That sounds tough, I'm sorry you're going through this. I had a similar scare once after an oil change,found out I had overfilled the oil, which created some serious pressure problems and strange noises. Luckily, I caught it before it caused major damage, but it taught me to always double-check the levels and take my time with the drain. You should definitely get it checked as soon as possible, and don't try to start it again until you figure out what's wrong. Here's hoping it's nothing too serious

I wouldn't write it off imediatelly. If the engine run for a few seconds then there's a chance it's not dead and it just tries to save itself by shutting down. And I'm thinking it's too much oil, which as terrible as it sounds, is an honest mistake @lucky7up!
