Hey everyone, I need some serious advice about my husband's Maverick X3
a few days ago, the unthinkable happened. you wouldn't believe it, the can am was stolen right from the dealership! Luckily, it was recovered a few days later, but it was apparently driven so hard that the thief blew the engine and turbo.
Now, it's back at the dealer for repairs, and our insurance is happily covering the estimate.
But here's the thing that's totally bugging my husband, it's that the repair list only includes what was directly blown.
There's nothing on there about general wear and tear from that kind of abuse
He's gutted and honestly feels like the machine will never be the same.
How should we even handle this situation? He really doesn't want the rig anymore, but insurance just wants to fix it.
Is there a comprehensive list of things that should be replaced after an engine gets thrashed like that?
Also, can he even argue for a total loss, or at least a diminished value claim, since it's so new and has been through so much? Any lawyers out there with advice for us
